The hotel and casino Circus Circus is an extravagant staple of the Las Vegas strip and is known for being entertaining, family-friendly, and the worst-rated hotel in Vegas, according to Yelp. Even an amusement park and trapeze stage aren’t enough to save it from a 2-star Yelp review average. While the travel vlogger Touch Grass rates it slightly better than the worst hotel in Las Vegas, it’s obvious that the place needs a major overhaul.

“If you’re ever bored, read the Circus Circus hotel reviews on Yelp,” one comment says. “Some of the funniest content the internet has to offer.” So, that’s exactly what we decided to do. (The 1-stars of course.)

@touchgrass_eg Replying to @touchgrass_eg the WORST hotel in Las Vegas? Circus Circus and more clowns. Great. #worst #gross #bucketlist #best ♬ original sound - Touch Grass

This review is almost 600 words long and includes topics such as malfunctioning keys and broken wifi. They even made these folks call the internet provider themselves.

Maria P. suffered bug bites and disturbances in this scathing review. Apparently, security guards enter rooms willy-nilly.

Marie-Angeline got charged extra and was forced to endure a horribly unsanitary experience.

Other reviews cite broken rides, bed bugs, parking garage traffic jams, floods, nonexistent cleaning, poor policies, safety hazards, cake on television remotes, thievery, static electric carpets, and a general theme of unhelpfulness. It seems that the only reason to go to Circus Circus is for the steakhouse. “It has the best steakhouse in Vegas and this ain’t a joke,” claims one comment on Touch Grass’s video. “I think it’s even called ‘The Steakhouse’”

Fortunately, a steakhouse dinner does not require an overnight stay at Circus Circus; something I will not be doing the next time I’m in Vegas.
