Mia Khalifa’s TikTok talking about marriage has gone viral on X (Twitter) because incels and religious conservatives think she’s ill-equipped to be giving relationship advice.

Earlier this week in a stitch of an engagement ring TikTok, Khalifa jokingly said “All the cool girls are divorced before 30.”

In a reply to a comment, she delves deeper into why she feels confident talking about being divorced twice and recently ending an engagement.

“We should not be afraid to leave these men. We are not stuck with these people. Marriage is not a sanctimonious thing. It is paperwork. It's a commitment you make to someone,” she says. “But if you feel like you are not getting anything from that commitment and you're trying, you gotta go. I know it’s difficult to fill out paperwork and to make appointments and to do all of these things. But this is your fucking life. Do you want to be stuck with someone?”

Khalifa married her high school sweetheart at 18 and was divorced by 21. She married chef Robert Sandberg at age 25 and got divorced at 28. Her engagement to Puerto Rican rapper Jhayco ended recently but she still has the ring.

The video on TikTok was received well by other women who got married and divorced young sharing their experiences.

Though, the critical men on X (Twitter) believe she’s not qualified to give advice, not because she’s been divorced twice but because she did porn 10 years ago.

Any mention of Khalifa on any space on the internet turns back on her history as a sex worker.

Conservative talking head Graham Allen posted a video reaction to Khalifa’s video admitting that he was a “piece of human garbage” for a time in his marriage but emphasizes the importance of marriage as a religious union.

Khalifa does not speak ill of marriage specifically. She’s encouraging women to not be afraid to leave toxic and bad marriages. This did not have to become discourse but someone had to bring that video over to X (Twitter).

Divorce is a beautiful thing.
