Magnet Fishers Discover Land Mine, Then the Police Get Mad at Them for Digging It Up

Shouldn’t you really just leave land mines where they are?

I don’t know why someone would have a land mine in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. I’ve been there, and on the surface, I can say that a land mine is far too exciting of a thing to be located in Fond Du Lac. However, someone did, and apparently, they threw it into the lake — only for it to later be discovered by some magnet fishermen.

Now, one might think that police would be psyched to have a land mine be removed from local waters. Not these cops. To hear them tell it, ridding the lake of land mines is just wasting people’s time and taxpayer’s dollars.

Anyway, it’s a good thing the magnet fishermen wanted a bomb squad present, because the item was, in fact, a land mine and still had gunpowder in it. I guess no one really *does* want to work anymore!
