Nick Cannon recently admitted on his talk show he has been celibate for the past six months after he discovered Bri Tiesi was pregnant. This will be Cannon's eighth child with mother number four. He said that after a talk with his therapist and revealing that he was going to have another child, the therapist urged him to stop having sex.


"My therapist was one of the [people] who said that I should probably be celibate because I had shared that news, that Bre was pregnant," Cannon said.



Cannon had mentioned that his life was "out of control" after the death of his five-month-old son Zen S. Cannon, who died of brain cancer. "Honestly, the celibacy did help me through the journey of getting one with myself and dealing with this," Cannon said.



On January 30th, TMZ broke the news of Tiesi and Cannon's pregnancy which was coupled with paparazzi photos of their gender reveal party.


Tiesi had some words of disappointment on her Instagram that she was, "horrified that this precious moment was exploited and plastered all over TMZ. This was not how I’d hope to share this news especially given that I’ve been able to protect this news for almost my entire pregnancy."


Who knows how long Nick Cannon can stay celibate. He recently had twins with Abby De La Rosa in June of 2021, In December 2020, he had a daughter with model Brittany Bell, along with a son in 2017. It seems like Cannon has been on a winning streak when it comes to having the most children in the shortest amount of time, it's quite possible he will try to make it to an even ten sometime next year.
