Jordan Belfort’s ex-wife didn’t actually fend off her cheating husband with a stiletto to the forehead and threats of wandering the house in short skirts and no panties.

Earlier this week, licensed therapist Nadine Macaluso, aka Belfort’s real-life ex and the inspiration behind Margot Robbie’s Naomi Lapaglia, took to TikTok to explain the truth behind the film’s steamiest — and arguably most iconic — scene to her 300,000 followers.

“So many of you ask me, is that scene in the nursery real? Well, I’m gonna break it down for you,” Macaluso promised. “Did that ever happen? No way! I am not that sexy. I wish I was.”

The scene, per Macaluso, was just another example of the many artistic liberties the film took. “I think that that was my ex-husband’s fantasy of what he wanted me to be like,” she added, noting that while there were cameras in the nursery, she never did anything like her on-screen counterpart.

In fairness, though, such fictions could have led to something way worse than a debunker TikTok — I mean, at least this one wasn’t used to amp up GameStonk dudebros.
