Oh, and customers don’t take the shot themselves; Nicole takes it and spits it into their mouths. Naturally, the comments section of her TikToks are flooded with men asking for the name of the bar she works at. It’s not just men, either — Nicole is an equal opportunity purveyor of Hurricane shot slaps.

Nicole didn’t invent this move, which, at least in some corners of the United States in the early 2010s, was originally called a Hurricane Katrina shot, but she is undoubtedly one of its best-looking practitioners. As one TikTok commenter wrote, “I’d go broke and probably blackout,” while someone else remarked, “I can’t believe people would pay for this. What kind of bar is this? Tell me the name so I can avoid it, also the address so I don’t drive near it.”

Others found the content slightly more depressing, with one person opining, “Men used to go to war.” Another pointed out that spitting in people’s mouths has to be a health-code violation.

I’m guessing, though, that’s part of the allure.
