20 Fresh Pics to Keep the Weekend Going
None of the photos I have saved over the years are categorized in any way, shape or form, which is annoying because I would like to put all the pictures of Concord in one folder.
There are some amazing images of these aircraft out there, not only are they imposing pieces of engineering, but the quality of the cameras used to capture pictures of them at their cruising altitude (56,000 ft) produced a wonderfully clear image with a slightly grainy texture which I guess reflects the technology at the time. The resulting images have a mysterious and slightly daunting quality which I enjoy.
On July 25, 2000, Air France Flight 4590, a Concorde passenger jet, crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all 109 people on board and four on the ground. This was the only fatal crash the Concorde suffered in its 27 years of operation, which makes it a very safe plane.
Thank god the Boeing 2707 supersonic jet never made it into production, I can only imagine how many people that would have killed.
