The modern age has brought with it luxuries unheard of. From the heart-attacks-on-a-plate kind of dining we can have delivered to our doorstep to the increasingly unsettling possibilities of VR, progress has made many of us rich in creature comforts. But there are two sides to every coin, and all of those pleasures haven't come without a price.
