This is why the Internet was created: So people could lie about the most trivial things imaginable. 

I'm not sure what causes it, but people just love to make up stories that help them push their personal agendas. Sometimes those agendas are political and sometimes they're petty, but when liars get called out on their lies, we will be there showing you the receipts. 

Take the dude who claimed he offered a stranger $100,000 to take off her mask on a plane. It's a lie so big and so dumb that he was rightfully bullied off of Twitter. 

So enjoy other people's failures, and be careful as you might be next.
