The first of many.

If no one has told you yet, let me be the first to wish you happy Mardi Gras. For most people, this isn’t a big deal, as Mardi Gras is just another supposed “holiday” that you have to come into work for. However, for those in New Orleans — or those who just really like drinking — Mardi Gras is a hoot and a half. It’s a wonderful time when you can get drunk, party, and, well, that’s about it. Hey, nothing wrong with that!

While today is technically the big day (Fat Tuesday), many people get the party started a little early — like this man in Washington, D.C., who had to be fished out of the river after getting a little too tipsy and taking a dip.
