Cell Phone Suddenly Explodes While Man Is Working on It
It’s not supposed to do that, I don’t think.
A few years ago, we were all warned about the dangers of using Samsung Galaxy phones. This is because they had a tendency to blow up, which, in general terms, is really the last thing you want to happen to your cell phone.
What was lost in that conversation is just how easily *most* modern phones can explode. As noted by PCMag, a phone's battery might explode due to physical damage, overheating due to sun exposure or overworked components, or charging issues. Additionally, aging batteries can degrade over time, which can in turn cause swelling, overheating and, potentially, an explosion.
It’s unclear what happened that caused this phone to explode, but whatever it was, it definitely served as a wake-up call for the man working on it.
Not just EVs, Chinese-made phones can burn as well. pic.twitter.com/gL6f69kyj1
