Haven’t we had enough of this?

Look, there are plenty of quote-unquote “woke” reasons for not doing a gender reveal party. I get that. However, I have a completely non-PC-related reason for thinking these things should come to an end: We clearly can’t handle them.

In days of yore, a gender reveal party was pretty simple. You cut into a cake, you show the crowd that it’s pink, and then everybody cheers for the fact that your kid’s gonna grow up to have breasts. Great.

However, the modern gender reveal party is an all-out affair. Instead of cakes or cookies, people are doing things like setting up toilets to flush the color of their kid’s gender, spraying their friends with paint, causing environmental issues, blowing things up or just straight up starting forest fires. And that’s not mentioning the other, more pathetic videos that have come out of this trend!

Speaking of terrible videos, this couple decided to reveal their kid’s gender using dry ice. Something went wrong, however, and soon, everyone needed to leave the building.
