Sorry, kids, that’s just nature.

At some point in every child’s life, they learn that nature is a cruel bitch. Yeah, the animals in the zoo may look cute in captivity, but in the wild, they’re ripping each other to shreds, and more often than not, the cuter ones are the easiest ones for bigger animals to snag.

Kids visiting this zoo got that lesson firsthand when they noticed a momma duck and her ducklings playing in the pond of the bear enclosure. Unfortunately, so did the bear — and he took it as an opportunity to have a little snack.
