It’s kind of remarkable that we don’t hear about *more* firework stand explosions, seeing as firework stands are literal powderkegs. Anyone who’s ever shopped for fireworks knows that the places selling them don’t exactly feel regulated. In fact, you’re more likely to buy fireworks from a dude selling them out of a tent than you are a proper store. And yet, firework stand explosions are relatively rare.

When I say “rare,” that doesn’t mean they don’t happen. They do, and when it happens, the results can be pretty dramatic.
