Go to any major retailer, and you’ll inevitably find a parking lot filled with loose carts. It should be simple to return your cart when you’re done with it — and yet, people unload their groceries, look at their cart, declare that it’s someone else’s problem and then head on their merry way.

It turns out, there are consequences for not returning your cart. No, you’re not going to go to jail, but as this video shows, some carts don’t take too kindly to being left out in the open — and in response, they go on the hunt.
