Don’t you love local politics?

It can be easy to feel helpless in the current political environment. Hearing this, some may counter that you should start participating in local politics, as “that’s where the real change happens.”

While that may be true, most local politics is incredibly boring. Yeah, I want to make a change, but I don’t want to sit through a two-hour discussion on fencing height regulations!

That said, it’s not so boring if you live in Thornton Township, where a recent community meeting ended in a no holds barred fight.
