Guy Runs onto the Field During a Professional Woman's Soccer Match and is LEVELED by Sam Kerr
A man ran onto the field during the Chelsea vs Juventus game in an attempt to get a selfie with Chelsea captain Magdalena Eriksson. His attempt did not succeed as he couldn’t get past 28-year-old Sam Kerr, who promptly lowered her shoulder into him knocking the guy to the ground.
Shortly after the incident the cheers from the crowd quickly turned to boos as Swedish referee Sara Persson gave Kerr a yellow card.
The team manager for Chelsea Emma Hayes was unhappy with the decision and felt that Kerr should not have received a penalty and was quoted as saying “we’ve got to put player protection first.”
