On today’s installment of TikTokers stealing jobs from future historians, it seems the ongoing Great Resignation — a.k.a the trend in which workers have quit their jobs en masse — is now being documented on TikTok in a series of surprisingly emotional videos.
Over the past several weeks, TikTokers have opted to move their job updates from the bowels of LinkedIn hustle porn to the video-sharing platform, recording and uploading the powerful conversations between them and their managers.
“Quitting my corporate stable job that I love in this economy??? Y’all should have seen my dads face when I told him hahaha,” creator @durbinmalonster captioned her tearful clip that has garnered upwards of 966,000 likes.
“He was so nice,” TikToker @lesssbessst wrote alongside her video depicting her speaking with her manager.
