There are some names that at one time were perfectly innocent, but now carry a lot of negative baggage. For example, there are plenty of people on this planet with the name “Isis” — it was normal before those dudes stole it for their own terrorist thing, I promise!

One of the names that meets that description is “James Bond.” Divorced from the films, it’s a nice, strong name. However, given that everyone knows James Bond as, well, James Bond, telling people that that’s your real, given name can make you seem like kind of an asshole, as these people will readily tell you.
