Looks like the corn isn’t the only thing popping!

There are a few ways to make popcorn. One involves putting the popcorn kernels under an incredible amount of pressure and heat, which causes the popcorn to dramatically explode out of the machine all at once.

Unfortunately, that explosion can sometimes also include the machine itself.

This man in China was seemingly trying to make popcorn using the pressure method when his machine malfunctioned. He then made the crucial mistake of trying to fix it by hitting it — accidentally depressurizing it and causing a massive “boom.”
