Some Jerk Tried to Steal a Ball Out of an Outfielder’s Mitt Mid-Catch
See that face? That’s the face of someone who’s just finding out that he’s never going to be allowed back to an MLB game.
In the first inning of Game Four of the World Series, Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers appeared to make a catch on a deep foul ball hit by Gleyber Torres of the New York Yankees. At this point, a Yankees fan with an absolutely unhinged smile grabbed his glove, causing the ball to fall back onto the field.
Umpires quickly ruled Torres out due to fan interference, and the two fans involved, including a season-ticket holder named Austin Capobianco, were promptly ejected from the game.
Sorry, friend, but you’re outta here!
"Well, A for effort."
