China’s New Car Can Parallel Park You In Sideways
Save this for the shitty driver in your life!
Getting a driver’s license in the U.S. is relatively easy. The day you turn 16, you can just walk into the DMV and take the test, provided that you’ve slept through the required hours of driver’s ed. Then, so long as you don’t run anybody over during the test, you’ll more than likely be out on the road, terrorizing everyone with your lack of impulse control and inability to park.
American car manufacturers are aware of just how bad we are at driving, and so, they’ve implemented numerous measures to keep us from killing ourselves while behind the wheel. Now, China’s doing that same thing, debuting a car that allows you parallel park by simply having your car slide horizontally into the space.
BYD's new Denza Z9 GT EV can parallel park in place by turning and spinning its right rear wheel forward and left rear wheel backward. It can also crab walk through tight spaces.
